The status of sales is becoming widely recognised by leading business gurus and sales experts as the most business important function within today’s forward thinking organisations.
The conclusions come as a result of new research and thinking by the likes of Tom Peters and organisations such as TACK International, worldwide sales training providers.
The TACK International research* found that senior managers and board directors across the UK are increasingly putting sales at the heart of their organisational planning. Significant research findings show that:

“I’m on a new campaign. I am trying to put SALES back on the pedestal it deserves. In the process I suppose I’m down-grading marketing – and that’s more than okay with me. Of course, I think marketing is incredibly important, but I think it intellectually comes second after sales – and the likes of MBA programs have mostly eliminated sales from the picture.”
As a result of the research, TACK International has created a series of events called the TACK International Symposia Series. These eight events, spread across the UK in easily accessible locations, are designed for senior managers and board directors and will address the following:
